When a child is ill or injured, it’s not just one life that’s impacted, it’s an entire family. Through our Programs and services, we help remove the barriers families face, so they can stay close to the care their child needs, surrounded by comfort, connection and support.
This July, we were proud to partner with Steggles as part of their annual Charity Chook campaign – a simple yet powerful initiative that brought communities together in support of children’s charities across Australia.
Everyday meals, meaningful impact
Throughout the campaign, 30 cents from every Steggles Charity Chook purchased will be donated to children’s charities, helping organisations like Ronald McDonald House continue to provide essential support to families during some of life’s most challenging moments.
By turning everyday meals into moments of giving, the campaign made it easier for Australians to support families with ill or injured children in a way that felt simple, accessible and meaningful.
A campaign inspired by real care
This year’s Charity Chook celebrates the small moments that can leave a lasting impact.
Inspired by the idea of a care package, the campaign packaging featured real messages, symbols and words of encouragement drawn from the experiences of children and families supported by Steggles’ charity partners. From shared meals to tokens of bravery and hope, each element reflects the moments that help families feel supported, find strength and keep moving forward.
These moments reflect what we see every day inside Ronald McDonald House – families supporting one another, finding strength together, and staying connected through their child’s care journey. They’re a reminder that even in the toughest times, care and connection can make all the difference

Our partnership with Steggles extends well beyond the Charity Chook campaign.
